Terms

The agreement between us. Written to be read, because the things that matter here are unusual enough to be worth understanding.

Effective 8 August 2026.

Who you are dealing with

Heirloom Motion is operated by Addison Jones, doing business as Heirloom Motion, a sole proprietorship, at South Carolina, United States. A postal address is available on request from hello@heirloommotion.com.. Placing an order forms an agreement between you and us on these terms.

What we make, exactly

We restore a photograph you send us and give it a few seconds of gentle movement — a breath, a blink, a small turn of the head.

What you receive is generated by artificial intelligence. It is not a recording. Nothing in it happened. It is marked as AI-generated in the file itself, and we say so everywhere we show it.

There is never any audio, and the person will never appear to speak. This is not a setting; it is refused by the software itself, on every order, and we will not do it on request.

The photograph you send

You must have the right to send us the photograph, and the right to have it animated. If it is of someone else, you must be entitled to act for them or have their permission.

You keep every right you had in it. We claim no ownership of your photograph or of the remembrance we make from it. You give us permission to use the photograph only to produce your order, and for nothing else, unless you separately tell us we may show it.

What we will decline

We will not make a remembrance where:

  • The photograph is not clear enough for a result we would be willing to send. We check before you are charged.
  • The result does not look like the person. We would rather refund you than send something uncanny.
  • We have reason to believe you do not have the right to use the photograph.
  • The intent appears to be to deceive, impersonate, or distress someone.

Declining costs you nothing. See our refund policy.

Price and payment

Prices are shown on the site and calculated by us when you order — the amount charged is always the amount we computed, never a figure sent from your browser. Payment is taken by Stripe.

Delivery

We email you a private keepsake link when your remembrance is ready. Orders of larger collections are watched by a person before they are sent, so those take a little longer, on purpose.

We do not promise a delivery time. If something goes wrong, we refund you without being asked.

What we do not promise

Restoration and animation are matters of judgement and of what the original photograph can support. We cannot promise a particular result, and we cannot promise that you will feel a particular way about it.

Except where the law does not allow us to limit it, our liability to you for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Using the site properly

Do not try to break the site, get at other people’s orders, or submit work in volumes intended to cost us money. We limit how many orders can be started from one place for that reason.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of South Carolina, United States, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute — without removing any protection you have where you live.

Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.

If anything here is unclear, write to hello@heirloommotion.com and a person will answer.
